Kelvin B. Harris
Founder and Principal

Kelvin B. Harris is owner and founder of Kel-Star Consulting. With over 30 years of professional business consulting and program management experience, Mr. Harris has worked with federal agencies, Fortune 1000 companies, and top local firms in the DC metro area. Mr. Harris was responsible for implementing business process improvement systems and programs to better business operations, drive business performance and organization communication. As an Integrated Workplace Management SME, Mr. Harris was responsible for incorporating best practices at the enterprise level.
 

In 2012 Mr. Harris relaunched Kel-Star Consulting as a fully integrated business solutions consulting and wealth strategy management firm. Kel-Star specializes in financial and wealth creation strategies for our private clients and provides business solution consulting services under a “business aggregation” model for our small business clients in areas of, business formulation, business valuation, asset accumulation, employee retention, business performance and succession planning.

Oveda “Vee” Hancock is a Business Development specialist and is an expert in growing company profits and business valuations. For the last 30 years, Oveda has assisted companies in growing business relationship bridges to Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies using her extensive knowledge of each company's unique corporate environment. She has been instrumental in developing intellectual property protection and niche business strategies utilizing supply chain management skills to increase, improve, and leverage knowledge of the corporate supply chain structure.

 

She has been a resource for Washington-area law firms, the Federal Government, state and local governments, United States Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, American Society of Actuaries, American Civil Liberties Union, National Association of Securities Dealers, Securities & Exchange Commission, PEPCO, Washington Gas Company, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (“WMATA”), arbitrations, Smithsonian Institute, consulting groups such as Arthur D. Little and Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), Phillip Morris, Hallmark, Pfizer, Pepsico, Denny's, Sprint, and more.

 

Oveda “Vee” Hancock was born and raised in Washington, D.C where she attended Georgetown University at the age of 14. Oveda graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. degree in sociology and economics, a Master's of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center with a specialty focus on intellectual property protection and media law.

 

Eugene Poole is a Senior Level Healthcare Executive with more than 30 years providing strategic management and training for healthcare insurance executives supporting cost effective family and group health care compliant solutions for commercial companies; and providing Senior Level Program Management Health Care Information Technology solutions for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), which included IT solutions that connected all 50 states, including the District of Columbia.


Mr. Poole is certified by the National Association of Health Underwriters’ (NAHU) on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This certification is awarded to health Insurance professionals and has been approved in all 50 states for continuing education.

 

The National Association of Health Underwriter’s  has approximately  100,000 members where approximately 4% of their members have achieved this Patient Protection Affordable Care Act Certification. In the PPACA course, Mr. Poole received the most up-to-date information on the key technical components of PPACA and is prepared to counsel his/her clients on upcoming required healthcare changes and new options for health plans. NAHU CEO Janet Trautwein stated in a recent press release from Aligned Benefits Group, Inc.: “By taking this course, Mr. Poole has joined an elite group who is uniquely qualified to assist clients in complying with the new law,”. “He understands how the market is likely to change over the next few years and is in the perfect position to advise families and businesses in planning for the future.”
